Ferguson Roofing Company History - A Family Business Since 1939

Charles Lesniak founded the company in 1939 and created a niche in the market place by specializing in re-roofing work. He built the business by contacting local insurance adjusters, offering to inspect claims for weather damage to residential roofs. He also performed FHA inspections for real estate companies.
Mr. Lesniak quickly developed a reputation for honest appraisals, quality workmanship and fair pricing. He later passed his business philosophies and practices on to his son-in-law, David Shupp, currently CEO, who joined the company in 1974. Combining good business practices with aggressive marketing, the company took advantage of new business opportunities in the 1970's and expanded it's services into the commercial and industrial markets.
In 1996, Ferguson Siding and Guttering was formed to include exterior services, which have become an integral part of the business. Conveniently located in St Louis County near Lambert St Louis International Airport, the company has expanded it's services throughout the entire metropolitan St Louis area as a contractor to both commercial buildings and individual residences.
The same business philosophies and practices of Ferguson Roofing & Siding are now being passed on to the third generation, as David’s sons, Brett and Jason, are looking to take the company forward.
